In 1962, bitter Hollywood rivals Bette Davis and Joan Crawford would star in a film together for the first and only time in their careers. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane brought fresh attention and acclaim to two women who had been chewed up and spit out by the studio system, created a subgenre of film that created roles for older women, and became a beloved camp-classic.
