Something for everyone.

Not a lot of attractions can say that, but with six organizations under one roof, it’s a pretty sure thing. History. Culture. Art. Education. Ojibwe Heritage. Theater. Immigrant Experiences. Veteran Memorials. Oh, and did we mention TRAINS? We have special Group Rates and love to give Guided Group Tours with advance planning. Whether you want to bring a school group or scout troop, or would like to add us to an itinerary for an adult day trip… we’ll make sure your visit to the Duluth Depot leaves everyone with magical memories!

The Duluth Depot truly has something for everyone.

Virtual Tours are now available!

Come along on a tour of our building without ever leaving your home! Thanks to wonderful 3D scans of the Depot provided by Fulcrum Visions, tour guides are able to take guests on digital tours that feel like your almost there!

Our virtual tours take place on Zoom with tops changing on a rotating basis. Each device attending will need to be logged into a free Zoom account to participate. These tours are free to attend, with a suggested donation of $5 per attendee.

Two tours are offered every Tuesday, one in the afternoon and another in the evening. Our afternoon event is geared towards school-aged children, and the evening tour is written for a general audience.

Private digital tours are also available upon request, and can be custom built to suit the interests of your group!

For more information or to request a private tour, contact our Tour Coordinator, Hailey Eidenschink via email or give her a call: (218) 733-7566.

School Groups

The Depot is a perfect place for school trips (even virtual school trips). With several history museums and an art museum all in one location, there are exhibits and content here to supplement nearly anything you’re studying in the classroom. All school group visits come with a Guided Group Tour and age-appropriate activities for the kids to engage in while exploring our Lake Superior Railroad Museum.

If you’re looking to round out your school visit, consider taking in a performance of the Duluth Playhouse’s Family Theatre or perhaps a ride on the North Shore Scenic Railroad. Also within walking distance of the Depot is the Duluth Public Library, which is located just across the street, and the Great Lakes Aquarium and Playfront Park, both just a seven minute walk across the bridge.
